Guys i need help just purchased an 87 gt-x rx7. I am not sure if this is right when turning over the ignion firing up the car do you have to hit the gas. This is my first rotor any help please.
no, bad idea, you might flood the motor. in the event that you allready have, hold the pedal all the way to the floor while cranking the motor not more than 8-10 seconds at a time, giving the starter time to chill out for a moment. repeat this process untill it starts.
now if your rx7 happend to be carburated, having to pump the pedal might not be such a bad thing.
welcome to the world of rotary!

Thanx guys for your replys, it didnt really mean pump the gas kind of feather it as Rotory says, or else turning over the igniton it fires but wants to stall, when i feather the gas shes sweet should this be right.
