Starting the rebuild........
Well I'm starting my TII rebuild today. She's going in as an 87 and emerging with a 89-91 street port motor.I'm a little scared because this is my first time (doing a rotary) And i'm a little scared. I'm gonna be doing the TB mod, Porting the waste gate , replacing ALL the hoses because half of them are split. Removing the air pump and ACV and all that emissions crap.
-Is there anything i'm missing here?
-Oh and as for the the power steering, how is that disconnected? Gimme some responses! Or if there is anything else i should know!!!

If you are simply removing the PS than just start unbolting stuff. If you are retaining the PS for the future. Just unbolt the pump from the engine and tie it to the side of the engine bay. You do not need to disconnect the AC or PS to pull the engine.

A bunch of smart asses.. Well i decided not to start on saturday, i'm gonna wait a week and see if the waste gate may have been stuck. I'm not sure so i guess we will see. So until then the rebuild is post poned.
DOnt be scared dude.. Its not really that hard. Make sure you have a friend with you to help you lift the e-shaft when installing the center plate. Also make sure you install the rotor oil seal springs correctly. I almost messed up installing mine.Good luck and let us know how it went!..
