Question starting rebuild

just got an 86 and it has low compresion i want to take it to somebody else but i would probably be expensive. i just need to know what to do to get started.

I'd say Kevin Landers at rotaryressurection would be the cheapest and also the best to do it. You can search around, he has a great rep.

If she's running low because of blown seals, you probably can't get her started anyway...Or if you do, she'll have to idle at 4K just to stay running...

If I am gathering correctly about what you are trying to say, it's that you are wanting to do this yourself. If that is the case, there is a write-up in the Archives or FAQs of this forum that explains all the things you need to rebuild.

Not to be a thread *****, but does anyone know of a good place to get gaskets for EVERYTHING, like for the exhuast manifold, intake manifolds etc..., other than just a mazda dealership?
