starting problems tried everything

My 88 rx7 will not start. it used to start right up before but allit does id turn over. i tried to push start it, and still nothing it starts up than dies when you give it gas or just starts and than dies. also there is a spark arcing over from the tranny to the body of the car. it almost wants to start cause it will start to grab but stops once it starts. it is getting fuel to it also. it first started when it wouldent start when it was warm. and it runs alittle rough, like it skips every now and than. would a bad coil or plugs cause it not to start????any ideas?????
