Starting problems S4 FC.....
Hey all I am trying to start this 87 FC(n/a) and I am about to go out and check for spark again. I was able to confirm that its got fuel but I don't know about spark yet. I tested the compression on it and it was sucky 70 on R1 and 30 on R2 overall I am not feeling good for this car as it stands I am guessing it has a low compression engine or a blown seal to boot. Other than spark and timing what can cause the car to just keep cranking? I already de-flooded it, swapped leading coils, fixed the fuses(they were all wrong amperes so I fixed that), wired the fuel pump for direct 12v, it has new plugs(although the idiot got all T plugs), I just need to find my DMM and get back out there to see if its the L coil or the CAS. Does anyone have any other ideas? We also tried to push start it multiple times. Is this the end of the road for he little FC? Any crasy ideas would be appreciated.
Santiago
PS- Just remembered I have some pre-mix left in my sport I will add some to the engine and see if that helps it start.

UPDATE: I checked for codes and got none. The lights just light up for 3sec and then go off. I tested the CAS and the Leading coil and the two spares I have and they are all within spec. Any Ideas?
One odd thing I notted is that the "shift up" light stays on when you turn the key to "on" it never goes off. Any ideas on what this means?
EDIT also during cranking I don't get a bouncing tac needle so I am going to check that it is connected to the trailing coil and the T coil's spec

Timing will not move if the CAS has not moved. Check for spark first before anything else. Non-start problems covered in both the Haynes and FSM, and have been covered many times before....
Check for fuel
If fuel, then check spark
If fire and fuel, check compression
If all check out, most likely flooded.

THere is fuel for sure. I tested for spark while cranking and got nothing from either side of the leading coil but all the coils I have swapped in are within spec and should function properly. I just swapped out the ECU also and tested the AFM which is also within spec. Like I said compression was sucky 70 on Rotor 1 and 30 on Rotor 2. Twice I have tried to unflood it and got nothing. I have been looking through the FSM for the power lead to the CAS but I could only find the ohms test anyone have info on which wire is the positive lead?
