ok i have searched and searched and cant find anything that will help me....last friday i pulled my car in my garage and let it sit over night, the next morning it wouldnt start....it is getting fuel and spark, but all it does is turn over....if i turn it over for 15 secs or more itll backfire when i stop cranking. any ideas? please help me. '87 gtu

 

could it be flooded.. try to take the bottom spark plugs out dry it then put them back..there is a small yellow plug under the dashboard right under the steering wheel should be to the right of the steering column unplug it and when you try to start it put the pedal to the floor and try it again..i had the same problem and this works...it will smoke alot if it starts
