Starting problems

So my friend has 86 GTU with a 286k (110k after rebuild) miles on his motor. Anyway he is having startup problems recently.

First off this is only when his motor is cold.

In the mornings he would get in to his car and turn his motor over. Everything turns over just fine but its not starting up. Almost like its flooded. Takes 3-5 minutes to start his car but it starts. Any ideas? Spark plugs?

no such thing as a 86 GTU, try again on the model.

Cold start flooding and issues are often a sign of low compression, or bad condition spark plugs and spark plug wires.
