Question Starting problems

I am totaly flustered. I got my car back from my mechanic yesterday to fix the exhaust leak, and everything was great. i made a few stops before i got home and on my last stop i came back to my car and it wouldnt start. all i heard was the clicking noise of the starter trying to turn.

I found someone to give me a jump (thinking the battery was dying) and it did the same thing. then we tryed to pushstart it in all gears from 1 to 4 while being pulled by another car and the car skidded to a stop. the engine wont turn over at all. ithen i tried to turn the engine by hand and it wouldnt budge forwards or backwords

My oil and all fluids are at good levels. i dont see any reason for the engine to seize. what could be holding my engine from turning over????

Hmm I have that same problem too, but my car has sat for a while when i was putting my new turbo on. It only clicks when I try and turn the key; i've also tried it with a charger on the battery to no luck. Any one know what's up?

i searched carbon locking and im trying to fix it now. i spayed motomaster carb cleaner into the spark plug holes and into the intake. lots of it. im going to try and rock the car tomarrow to see if i can get it to turn over.

http://www.nellump.net/peri/epi/gen7...arbonLock.html

this is the website i found about it. my mechanic (a 25 year rx7 vet) said he got one that was carbon locked one time and no amount of solvents would soften the carbon and free the engine. but it is the cheapest solution to try for now.

if that doesnt work then im going to try they starter next it could be jamed with the flywheel or something.

if that dont work then im taking it to my mechanic and get him to fix it, but that sounds like a rebuild or a new engine for me.

**** man

87RXGhey 7 do you think b4 you post? do you read what is going on in the post? his engine won't turn is locked up!!!!. think b4 you post! any ways Mr. Happy if you cannot un stick you motor try buying AMSOIL and put some in all 4 plug holes (use half qt) and let your engine sit 4 a couple of days (3)or so. Then get a breaker bar and a socket on the eccentric shaft bolt (I think it is a 17mm not sure) and work the breaker bar back and forth and se if you can un stick it that way.

This is getting interesting...

Mr. Happy, what cleaner did you use? Are the plugs out? Did you try rocking both directions?
