Hello all, i am a newbie to the rotary engine. I bought an 87 RX7 non turbo, i got it home and degreased the engine, it started fine after i did it, then about two days later all i got was a bit of clicking, i have taken the starter motor out and had it tested along with the solonoid they are both in working order, have cleaned the terminals on the battery and at the starter , still it is doing nothing . Can anyone help this newbie......lol it would be much appreciated.

 

I don't have an RX, but it sounds like the battery is dead to me. Try starting it at night with the lights on. If it's the battery, you will see the lights go out. You could also check the grounds. If they aren't very good, that may do it too.
