starting problem, hot or cold
My car has suddenly become hard to start whether it's sat for a day or just a couple minutes. I have to crank the car and pump the gas for it to catch. Even first thing in the morning I have to do this, so I'm thinking it's not the hot-start problem. Secondly, it always starts up on one rotor. After feathering the throttle for 30 seconds to a minute, the other rotor catches and everything is good to go. Initially, the problem was it would just start up on one rotor first thing in the morning, but then start up fine for the rest of the day. When it would start up on the one rotor, it would start up quickly like it should. Now all of a sudden, one rotor on every start up and I have to crank and pump for the one rotor to catch. After the one rotor catches, it acts like it used to when I would just feather the gas pedal for a bit until the other rotor caught. Once both rotors are firing, it drives great. Injectors were cleaned very recently, spark plugs changed, and I checked the sensor behind the water pump, which to my disappointment, was plugged in. Idle is a rock solid 900rpm once the second rotor catches and it idles very smoothly. Motor is a rebuild with 6000 miles on it. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where next to check?
