starting problem

i have a 1987 mazda rx7 that either will not start or is very hard to get started after driving several miles and then turning off to go to the grocery, eat, etc. when i return it is very difficult to start. acts like it wants to fire, sometimes does others times, just will not. then after several hours and cools down starts right up!!!! any ideas??????? thanks

You could have several things wrong...

Sounds similar to Harley's problem, which (so far) has been traced to a bad fuel pump ground...

You're new, so the question is always 1) do you have the manuals, and 2) do you know how to use a meter?

Try a search for "hard" and "start", you'll get 1000 threads...

Once you've begun troubleshooting and ruled out some things, we can help you zero in on it a little better...
