Starting problem
LAtely when i go to start my 87 na it turns slow an just barily starts its makes a sound like rrr-rr--rr--r. Anyway now it wont even start at all and it makes a clicking sound. I checked the voltage at thr battery and it was 10.8 volts. I recently changed my alteranter belt. I may not have tightened it enough. could that be the problem. I dont want to buy a new battery unless i know it the battery. I cleaned all the battery terminals and have solid connections. Any ideas?

MY NA sometimes has problems starting too.
Well your battery when tested with a voltmeter should read at least 12 standing Volts. If you turn on your car and the battery gauge reads 10 or less it will not start for sure.
Ive noticed that if my battery when turned to assc. reads around 11-12 its enough to start it. Sometimes its just really cold and it needs a jump no biggie. Get a new battery or get it checked out. Might also be the alternator itself.
Hope that helped.
Jumpers and a spare battery helps plenty
