I always appreciated all versions of the RX-7, but found that the earlier models (FB, FC) were a bit ugly (just my opinion, please take no offense). However, I found this picture and I must say that this example is a rather attractive automobile. I would like to see other examples of earlier gens similarly styled. Also, if someone could identify manufacturer(s) of the body components installed on this vehicle I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Refering to the pic I posted, is that hood OEM or OEM-styled (the hood-latches suggest that it may be carbon-fiber). I see that style hood on many FC's.

Also, who makes those mirrors? I think those mirrors enhance the lines of the car.

 

OEM style hood. RE Amemiya style mirrors.

 

it is an OEM hood just with some hood pins. the mirrors look like RE amemiya but they could be knockoffs.

Yep, i thought the hood was carbon fiber, but i looked closer and it wasn't. Yeah, those mirrors look like RE Amemiya's, but hey, probably couldn't tell if they were real or not.

What do you mean "you looked closer and it wasn't"? What if the owner just painted over the hood? If/when I install a carbon-fiber hood, I would paint it red to match the car; I think it looks cheesy otherwise (unless the entire car was carbon-fiber, in which case I'd forget about the paint).

I still think that black one up top is the best looking one I've ever seen.

I don't think the headlight conversions look very good on this car.

I have to agree, the sleek kits look like *** on the FC.

 

I've never liked converting headlights on any 7. I think the pop/flip ups hava cool look up or down. When down it's sleek and on the FDs, when up it has a mean sexy curved line right above each light. And the FC doesn't nessecarily look GOOD with them up but still better than sleek kits, and not bad either. I want to get my FC to flip the lights up halfway and have two small round bulbs inside that are fully exposed under half flip. I think that'd look good and it's not overused. I think that's the OEM Ford Probe style but I'm not into the probe so I don't know.

 

I prefer pop ups, and on subject about those mirrors...I heard they kinda suck for function. As in they kinda don't show you everything behind you like the oem ones.
