My friends car is not starting what so ever. He just finished putting a rebuilt engine in. He is getting fuel to the engine, and the engine is turning fine, but there isn't any spark what so ever. The coils are both fine, I even let him try mine out, but no spark. My question is: What are the things that should be checked that could cause this???? Could it be bad timing???? Help PLZ!

CAS hooked up? Prime fuel pump?

 

Are you sure it isnt getting any spark at all, or is it getting it at the wrong time? Make sure the timing is set right, and the CAS is hooked up. Does the engine sound like its trying to fire but wont, or does it just crank?

 

I got the same problem.... it's getting fuel, it is sparking, sounds like its trying to fire, even smokes... Now I got way too much gas like it's flooding, but it wont start. Should I restabe the CAS?
