Starting Difficulties

I have an 1986 GSL with 240,000 miles. I bought it new in 9186 and it has been a great car. I have had one continuous problem with it since the very first week t6hat I have never really been able to solve. If I start it and only allow it to run for less than two minutes (to move it from one spot in the driveway to another) it is almost impossible to get started (appears to be flooded). Over the years I have learned not to do this. Unfortunately not everyone in my family understands this.

Is there a method or a trick to getting it started inj the past I have had to have it towed in (probably as many as a half dozen times) but since I intend to keep this vehicle forever, I have finally decided to ask some experts.

How should I proceed?

Well this is a problem that Mazda does'nt even have an answer to. After all of this time you would think that they would have a solution to this problem. The only bandaid that I have seen is the fuel pressure bleader from Mazdatrix and my friends with NA's have them on their cars and it helps alot. To get it started again, unplug the efi fuse, hold the pedal alll the way to the floor and crank. This will suck in enouph air to get it dried out. Your low compression has alot to do with it also.
