ok this may be long but i dont want to leave out any details.
my 87 na doesnt start very well. besides flooding the engine seems to turn slower than it used to. sometimes when i turn the key it sound as if the starter turns but doesnt engage the flywheel. sometimes nothing happens at all only a click. i put on a new battery, alternator and starter. i also attached to extra grounds wires. i also installed a fuel pump shut off switch. the other morning it started fine. the engine spun very fast and fired right up. cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

my alt. shows plenty of volts and the battery is new as is the starter.

i am going to check wiring this weekend.

please help.

Your starter solenoid is what causes the "click". My car usually does this the first time or two I turn my key. I'm just used to it now.
