I can't help you unless you have a digital meter. PUll the small wire off the starter solenoid. Put a meter on the wire. Put the battery cables back on the battery. Read the meter. Got 12vdc? Bad.
If you do, then go to your ignition switch connector plugs. They're about four plugs, located about a foot or so forward of the ignition switch. Look for the one with a black/white and a pure black wire in it. PUll it apart. Did the 12vdc on the starter solenoid go away? Yes? Then it probably is the ignition switch.

No, it did not go away? Bad. Go to your clutch interlock switch at the VERY top of the clutch pedal. Pull it apart. Did the 12vdc go away? No? Bad. Go to your trail coil assy and unbolt the three nuts that hold it on and move it aside. See the BLUE jumper connector? With one jumper wire in it? Pull it apart. Did the 12vdc at the starter solenoid go away? No? Real bad............I've not a clue why you would have 12vdc on the starter solenoid with that connector apart.

Some early RX do not have a interlock switch. It should have a black/green and a black/red wire at it's plug (memory, too lazy to look).

Probably the ignition switch. Go to the FSM and ohm it out per the FSM. It's in the Body Electrical section, I think (guessing).
