Please inform me here what the problem is.
Have a t2 tranny i ganked off my canadian t2 donor car.
Bought a new starter for it. did not fit. Of course i started freaking out, and grabbed an NA to make sure i didnt get my tranny swapped with one of the 5 i have in the garage... doesnt fit. the t2 starter was closer but the bottom mount was off by about 3/4 inch. Is there a different tranny for the canucks cars? or did someone throw in a s5 tranny on this car or what? or is autozone just a bunch of ignorant asses.. (ok that last one i know the answer too)

 

All 2nd gen turbo starters are the same, anywhere in the world. Auto Zone is your problem.

 

figured as much, just surprised that it was sooo freaking close.
