Starter Wiring

Okay, so i bought my Rex w/o a tranny in it so now i have got it reassemebled, push started it, and it runs great. Now i finnaly got my starter and just a bit confused where everything goes in the pic i talked to someone a little about it and was told that the wire w/o the boot bolts onto the one of the tranny bolts (4) i was curious to find out if anything acctually bolts onto terminal (1) i know that the small clip goes on terminal (2) and i assume the booted wire goes on terminal (3) just want to double check this for when i install it tomarrow, thanks

If I remember correctly, #1 is the hot wire, #2 is the switched power, and #3 is the negative terminal. The starter ground goes to a transmission bolt farther up.

That needs to be grounded. It escapes me what exactly it is for, but I believe it has to do with the clutch slave cylinder. Mine is just underneath one of the bolts on the slave cylinder.

1 goes nowhere
2 gets the little clip
3 gets the booted wire.

Put the mystery ring on the bolt that goes through the starter, transmission and rear housing.
