starter turns slow???

I've got this strange problem with my car and I'm guessing it's in the wiring somewhere but anyways here is what is happening. My old alternator and battery went out and my starter was going out (would click a bunch of times before it would actually turn over and when it did it was turning over real slow). So I bought a new battery, new alternator, and new starter and everything was fine and went in well. I cleaned all the connections to the alternator including the big engine ground and the possitive. Well I cranked it for the first time and the clicking was gone so that was good but it turned slowly still. so I tried it again 2 or 3 times and about 1 out of every 3 or 4 times I cranked it it would go faster like it should almost. Anyways i'm wondering what may cause this??? Even when it cranks fast it seems like it's not cranking as fast as it should and i'm only getting 90/95psi compression because of it when I do a compression test. Is there anything I need to do short of running new wires to the starter? Thanks.

what is the static battery voltage? what is the cranking battery voltage? what is the idle charging voltage? what is the idle voltage with the headlights on and the blower on Hi?

nothing under 12volts and at idle it's around 13volts.

static battery voltage shouldn't drop below 12.6V(fully charged), charging voltage with moderate accessories on should not drop below 12.6V at idle. if either of those fail then you have a battery or charging system issue which can be good reason why the starter turns slow. only other reason i can think of is a bad connection somewhere you haven't looked yet or possibly even some wiring damage in the harness. the wiring is fairly straightforward, both wires run from the battery directly to the starter with some intersecting points in between, make sure all 4 points are clean and tight not just the 2 at the starter or battery, vice versa.

battery voltage during cranking, preferably should not drop below 10volts and really should not drop below 9volts.
