Starter Going Out?

'kay, this is kinda scaring me. When I bought the car last month, it actually turned over the engine pretty damn fast. These past like...I dunno...four or so days, the starter has been turning over increasingly slower. Just now I went out to start it and it turned over kinda slow...like the battery was going out or something. But the battery holds well over 12 volts on the gauge. Do you think it's just my battery wearing out? I know that I've used my A/C a few times (Fan only works on high) and that's when this all started...and I know that when I turn on the blower, the charge gauge drops to flat 12, which is pretty big drop wise... my other RX-7 never did that.

Pretty much I'm spazzing out about this. I'm broke, with no luck so far finding a job of ANY kind. Tell me what you guys think...

Have your battery load tested, most auto parts stores will do it for free. At the same time, they can check the output of your alternator.

VOLTAGE TEST
Engine running, headlights & heater fan on high:
Alternator post to alternator frame = 14-14.5 volts (verifies the alternator output)
alternator post to battery (+) = 0 volts (verifies the primary + wire)
alternator frame to battery (-) = 0 volts (verifies the primary ground)
Turn off the motor, but leave the lights on.
Battery (+) to battery (-) = ~12.5 volts and holds steady. (verifies battery)

It there is a voltage drop in any of the primary cables the bad spot will get warm when you try to crank the engine.
