are the starters interchangeable from an automatic and a standard NA fc.?

I don't think they are, but I am not 100% sure on that answer.

They're not interchangeable. The starter for an automatic transmission is basically the same as one from a TII, except it's more powerful. An auto has a big heavy torque converter to spin, so it's rated for more torque.

not to thread jack or anything, but i also had a several starer Q's myself. a NA starter is different from a TII starter, both 5spd. but a auto (NA?) starter is similar to a TII starter, but how close? diff bolt pattern, wiring, ect? just curious because i need a starter for my S4 TII trans, but i keep finding used NA starters and such. sorry again for thread jackin hello kitty.
