Hey all. I started the body restoration on the TII this week. The car has absolutely no badges or stickers…including the "Mazda" badge on the rear deck! My question to you is, should I just fill the holes and leave the car debadged or restore to stock look?

Overall, the car is in decent shape. I'm getting the shop to fo the major repairs on the rear quarterpanels and I'm taking care of all the dings, scuffs and scratches. The interior is in good shape. Needs a thorough cleaning and some replacements plastics (no surprise there!)

The saving grace of the car is the fact that the engine was just fully rebuilt and streetported. I had never driven a Turboed car until I bought this TII…WOW! Such a HUGE difference in power compared to my previous N/A!

I'll start photographing the restoration tonight and posting.

LOL! Did anyone on the forum grow up in NY during the 70s and early 80s and remembers channel 11's game in the afternoon for kids? Kids would call in and yell, "PIX! PIX! PIX!" when they wanted to shoot on the game on tv…but I digress. Here are the pix:

 

Interior is in much better shape than the last car I restored. The seats are perfect—just dirty. Carpet needs cleaning and maybe a little dye job.
