on start up question

Ok, On start up what is it that makes the car have a high rev on start up and how do I adjust that?
Also on start up it feels as if the gas peddle gets slightly stuck which causes the car to not start right away. Therefore I need to pull the egi fuse and hit the gas peddle then start it up. Even though I do that the idle does not rise up as it is suposed too.
One other question. What can I do to avoid openning the hood every time I need to pull the egi fuse?

You could run a switched wire to your console or the like. On the car I'm thinking about buying, the previous owner ran a wire to a switch under the steering column.

the high rev is the car warming itself up as it starts , this it built in to assist the startup, then the rvs should drop to 750

as for the startup problem it probably floods after you shut it off

on start up question

flooding is not my problem. It seems that my gas peddle eels as if it gets stuck therefore not alowing it to start up as normal. when that happens the car will flood itself.

gas pedal could just be sticky. try spraying wd-40 on all the moving parts. as for the high idle on cold start make sure the littl tank at the back of the car still has antifreeze in it. it could also be broken. this feature tends to not work on quite a few cars
