staring issues!

Well my car starts, with a button! The previous owner had a fuel pump switch installed,When i go to start it i got to push the button and flip the switch to shoot alittle gas (but cant leave the switch on before it starts or it will flood).Well when i push the starting button it turns over but its seems to turn over alittle slow as sometimes it does not start but you can hear and feel it firing.Sometimes it turns over real fast and it starts fast! Why doesnt it just start like a normal car instead of sitting there cranking it for like 10-20 seconds before it starts?Once its running it runs fine. Also my starter just got a rebuild and i have a new 800 cca battery, could it be the wires coming from the battery? because the starter button has a little wire running to the battery itself and the wire looks new.My ignition switch was blown when i bought the car so i had to rewire the acc,to turn on with a switch soo pretty much to start my car you have too flip the acc switch push a button and feather the gas switch until it starts then leave it on.Guys please help its getting old having to do all this what should i do and what is my problem?thanks

Dustin,

Sorry, I would answer but I got confused half way through due to the lack of spacing and paragraphs.

You can type fine except for the fact that I think you forget where the spacebar is after you hit the "." key.

He's just saying it'll be easier for anyone to ever help you if you at least give a conservative effort to try and type with complete sentences and proper grammer. I personally can't help you off hand since I'm not 100% sure what your asking, mainly since of what you have typed, the car has alot of jimmyrigs. Plus my Haynes manual doesn't say anything on it that I can find in my quick glance.
