Standalone guys!! Need pics of engine bay!
Hi guys, just need some pics of the air intake setup you standalone guys are running.
The previous owner just put some wire mesh over the turbo inlet and I'm not too fond of this setup mainly because of improper filtration. I also just don't want to put an air filter over it as well since intake temps will still be high.
I was thinking of routing some sort of piping but don't know which place would be best for the air filter. Just want to see some ideas. Thanks.

Don't ever run an unfiltered turbo on a street car. It's stupid. Don't just clamp a filter to the turbo inlet either.
The fact that the AFM's gone makes no difference to filter location. The best place is the stock location, with proper heat shielding and a cold air duct. Alternatively you can run a pipe all the way out in front of the radiator with a filter on the end.
