Stalling and a strange ticking
I started my car after it had sit for about a half hour or so. when I started it, it ran fine for a few seconds and the stalled. It did it a couple more times then, I tried to drive it a few feet, it drove fine, when I let it idle again it stalled, this time when I started it I herd a strange ticking sound coming from around the steering colum area, it continued to intermitently tick as I drove and when I would let it idle it would stall. I drove halfway home without letting it idle, I decided to see if it would stall agian if I let it idle and it didn't, I proceded to dirve the rest of the way home and had no problem, except for the ticking sometimes. when i got home I let it idle and it didn't stall, I pulled into the garage and shut it off and tried to start it and the problem returned.
Help me if you can I've never had any problems with stalling before nor have I heard the ticking, ticking sounded like something electrical

idle problem could be a lot of things... start off with adjusting your TPS and if its in good working order, try replacing all your vac lines. if THAT doesnt do it... its probably your fuel system (fuel filter, maybe a clogged injector or 2....) if thats not it, possibly the BAC. use the search function or look through the archives to find how to check most of these problems.

OK here's what I figure, as I know a part of the AAS is speed sensitve steering? I have noticed driving these past couple of days when the ticking occurs when I let off the gas and out of nowhere, I've noticed when the ticking occurs the steering becomes stiffer momentarily so I figure the steering is cutting in and out, I wiggled the wires going to the module on the pump and it seems to have stopped but I haven't really driven it since I did that so hopfully thats it.

I think you're on it - the PS computer is near the steering column.
When you turn the steering there is a signal to a vac bleed solenoid to prevent stalling.
Check that all the PS connectors are clean & bright.

has anyone else noticed that these cars are designed to do tasks that should be simple - like power steering - in the most complex way possible?
I'm glad to see you got your car fixed... I should try cleaning my MAF too
My power steering sometimes gets slightly stiff too, and rarely (only when I'm stopped and have a low tire on hard pavement) will feel chunky.... weirdass problems...
