Stalling issues..

Car has been stuttering lately, still havent found out why... Now, whenever I am sitting with the car in gear w/ the clutch pedal pressed, the car will stall unless I force it out of gear... The pedal sticks whenever this happens, but when I force it out of gear, the pedal pops right back up... Bled the system--but it is still happening... Any help appreciated...

The clutch pedal sticks on the floor? I'd say it's bad hydraulics then (leaking slave or master, or hose). This would explain the stuttering/stalling since it'll drag the engine at idle. Usually the slave cylinder fails and the fluid leaks into the rubber boot, but often the masters fail too. Thankfully it's cheap to replace.

Ok... my slave cylinder was leaking not too long ago and I rebuilt it... Will buy a new one today! But, however, you say that explains the stuttering too? It stutters during excel., clutch isnt pressed... Can you please explain how the stuttering and the stalling is related... I am not trying to be a jerk, I just want to learn. Thank you for your quick response and help.

Oh, if the stuttering is during acceleration, that'd be something a little different, I thought it was when deceling with the clutch in coming to a stop. I would just do the common fixes for that (generally a TPS adjustment, new plugs/wires, fuel filter, etc will take care of that, if not, clean the stock ground points, and maybe clean the injectors if your stutter is around 3800 rpm or so)

Do you think the BAC could be the excel stuttering culprit? B/c sometimes when I stop at a light, tranny in neutral, the idle will go really low, then bounce back up... doesnt a bad BAC cause this?

A bad bac could cause this but its probably the throttle position sensor. The one on my t2 just went and it had all the same probs that yours did.Except the clutch part of it. Do you know how to test the tps?
