well, my car is now liking to stall. it is really wierd cause sometimes it'll stall and sometimes it woln't. under the hood it almost sounds like a vac leak comming from that yellowed plastic thingy on the back(beside firewall) of the throttle body that sticks out and has 2 vac looking lines going to it. what is that little yellowed thing? thanks for any help

 

I think you’re referring to the thermo valve that controls the secondary double throttle.
Its function is to keep you from WOT on a cold engine.

SureShot: you thinking about the thing with the 2 things for the vac lines to go over(stems) on the bottom?

 

please help. the car will now not stay running unless i have the gas pressed some. i showed the thingy i thought was leaking vac to my friend and he said it's the thermo wax. can they fail and cause this? it just keeps stalling i really hope it doesn't get any worse...
