staling from clutch woes

i just had a new ACT clutch installed in my FC. everything seemed fine but the car will stall out on me while i have the clutch pedal depressed on occasion. for example, merging from a stop into moving traffic or worse making a left at a busy intersection. it doesnt happen all the time but it does happen. usually when i see all the lights come on(it stalled) i can release the clutch a little and give it some gas and it will come back. but in the case where i was in the middle of the intersection i had the clutch depressed too long while waiting for traffic and it eventually died(luckily it started back up despite the hard start problems i have...but that is another story). what could the problem be? i never had this problem w/ the old clutch. maybe the cable? the clutch master cylinder?
oh and it doesnt seem to matter whether i have the car in a gear or not. it just happens when i'm holding the clutch pedal down.
sorry for the cross-post...
thx!

Are you loosing fluid? Could be a bad master or slave cylinder.
