No, but I would be interested in some OTHER plating process (Anodizing, chroming)

Question Stainless steel door handles.... I will make if U want

Recently gained access to some interesting tools, and I now have the ability to begin the process of making stainless steel finish door handles.

Or I can chrome them too..

Or leave the door handle cup painted and then chrome the handle "pull" or make THAT have a real metal stainless finish and chrome the pull.

Or the othe way around....

Handles could cost about $40-$50 each, but i havent price the sacrificial anodes yet.

I can also make other parts like this by applying a plating process that will create this finish on any normally "pot metal" part you have out of real nickle or chrome.

Stainless steel or chromed engine parts anyone?

Send your pullies for this stainless finish or anodizing or some other finish.

Anyone interested?

This wouldn't be easy to start, but would be easy to maintain... SO

If I get a BIG response, i'll tool up for it.

I have tried a set of stainless handles on my red project car and i'm intrigued, so I offer the process to others to see what they think.

Uh, that still doesn't fix the problem of them breaking.

^I'm with ted^

Plus these uncontrolled plating processes have the POTENTIAL of making an already weak piece weaker thru the process of hydrogen embriddlement

I am assured tha tthis process wont weaken the material.

Has anyone figured out how to keep them from rubbing the top edge of the handle cup?
