Sqeaky Suspension -- What should I replace?

Question Sqeaky Suspension -- What should I replace?

My FC is a NA S5, 62k miles on it, and it's my daily driver.

I believe the suspension hasn't been worked in any way, seems to be completey stock.

Now... this is what happens -- after about 20~30 minutes of normal driving, the rear suspension starts to make a terrible squeaky noise that gets worse and louder every minute.

I get the squeaks as the car's weight shift to the rear/front/sides... it's immensely annoying.

If I let the car cool down for a couple of hours, the cycle begins again -- from no noise to very loud squeaks.

Cold days mean less noise, and slower -- while hot days translate into louder squeaks, and faster.

My question now is... what should I replace to solve this issue? I seriously want to get rid of the squeaking, but I simply don't plan to replace the WHOLE suspension right now... I need to address this noise problem specifically at the moment.


Any comments/information/feedback will be greatly appreciated

i have the same problem except mine comes from the rear right. i think its the bushings for the control arm, but im really not sure.

i put new shocks and springs in, along with rear steer eliminators and on one side i put in rear camber adjuster- after all that only then did I develop a squeek, I would love to know what caused this squeek all of a sudden because its driving me crazy, makes me think I should have left it all original

strut tops and a fresh batch of bushings (bushing kit for the entire car). if its OEM its all close to dry rot

check the sway bar linkage bushing or the bushing that is supporting the sway bar. if its original or worn out, they tend to rub and make squeaks.

Rear camber links are also a good one to check. I had a similar noise that was sort of like a creaking spring sound,also tended to get worse the longer the drive.I thought it was the spring or strut top but using a pair of ramps and then getting underneath the car pushing up on the subframe verified it was the camber link making the noise.

I apear to have the exact same problem. I plan to poly bush the whole car anyway, until then can anyone tell me if the squeeking is likely to be dangerous? I'm just worried that something is going to fall off. Will get under it tomorrow and grease/tighten everything up. but until then it would be nice to have a piece of mind!
