Year? Turbo/NA?

If its an S5 (89-91) it could be limp mode. Could also be something as simple as the aforementioned fuel filter...

OK.... So today, the car lost all power and it still sputters... I think it might be something fuel related.... Maybee spark plugs.... I put some fuel system cleaner and it didnt do anything.....

could be some really funky gas.. go back to the last gas station you filled up at before the sputtering happened and ask the attendant(s) if anyone else is complaining.

ok ok ok i know it may be far fetched but check your connection to your mass airflow box I had the same problem and it was that it was not connected snuglt.

Another thing you might want to check is your grounds... Make sure they are all snug, clean and strong. bad grounds always seem to cause weird random problems... Fixing them is always a good idea. If you fix them and it doesn't fix your problem, atleast you'll know its not your grounds.

Ok... So the car is getting really bad!!!

I think it is the fuel pump or something...
I checked the fuel injector shimms they were fine...
It is def something fuel related tho, when it starts acting up it chokes out really badly....

The only thing i could think of is when i canged the fuel filter i did not depress the system and i did not put the fuel filter brace back on....

Please help!!!!

Try the intank fuel filter sock, they get clogged and produce problems such as this.
