springs time!! need some opinion

hey guys, just got the Tokico HP, and I have 250 left to spent on springs. I want something thats good to ride in, but also good for AutoX.

so far my choice is Tein S Tech, it seem to be pretty good, but I can't seem to find much about it on this forum...or just the search engine hates me...I know Eibach is good, but the Tein S Tech is 100 bucks cheaper then the Eibach, with that 100 bucks I can get myself a nice air intake....but if Tein S Tech is crap, I rather spend the extra money and get something good.

so what do you guys think?

it's going to be my daily driver / autox car.

Thank you ^___^

Tanabe also..... RSR from what I understand is not an option for us anymore or at least not any time soon.

how s the riding quality compare to Eibach pro kit? and whats the drop?

Edit: 1.5" sounds like alot of drop...since the stop 7 is pretty low already...

Mine dropped an inch on all 4 corners. Drop depends on how worn out your old setup is. In some cases, rare though, people have reported a rise in ride height. I haven't tried any others so I can't compare the ride but I do autocross and HPDE with the car and like what I have. I'm also running KYB AGX springs.

I love my Tanabe GF210's. I've got them matched with Tokico Blues on my 'vert and I actually wish they were stiffer. The streets here are quite aweful too, and it's still not too bad. I got a really nice drop but speed bumps are a nightmare and parking too close to a curb is a bad idea. Other than that. I love 'em.

Tanabe GF210 does look pretty good, but man, that 1.6"(i think...) drop is just a little too much, 1" drop is about the most I ll take, so any other suggestions?

I put RB springs on my 90 FC and I'm very happy with them
(I autoX and HPDE the car as well)
I am also apparently one of the rare cases that got a slight ride height increase.

I tried to order Eibach twice now from 2 different ebay sellers, and they have all returned my money due to the fact that eibach stopped making those springs...

I think I might give the RB springs a try, but niburu, you said you got ride height increased? thats crazy, I thought they were suppose to drop 1"....I think my 7 is pretty good at it's height right now, a 1" drop probably hit the sweet spot, but I sure don't want my 7 gets higher then it already is.

no one have said anything about the Tein S Tech yet, I thought Tein is suppose to be a pretty good suspension company.

Oh well, thanks for all the help guys, I think I'm ganna go with RB springs, hope I won't get a rise in my ride height....

The original oem springs had compressed to well below stock ride height. They were uber squishy around corners too, although it made for the softest ride I've ever had in an RX-7 but it was lousy for autocross.

It took me several ordering attempts before locating the Eibach Pro Kit springs for my 88 T2. I finally found a set at "Tire Rack" though I can't seem to find them available on there site now. Guess I got lucky getting them when I did. I am installing them with a set of KYB AGX struts............Man I`ll be glad to get the car back together.

The Racing Beat springs were my second choice.

as far as that you have to make sure they aren't the counterfieted (spelling) ones I guess they've been having a lot of problems with those

Sorry to be the third person in this thread to bring this up again, but..........Yea, how about the tein S tech springs? anybody? Price seems good plus its a well known brand and with tockico blues is it a good setup for a daily driver in need of some new suspension components?

I just bought Tein S.Techs since RB is on a 6 week backorder (RB was my first choice.) I installed them with AGXs and I am extremely happy. I bought them from a supplier that got them directly from Tein, no ebay junk here.
