Different rear upright bolts on S4 subframes?

Different rear upright bolts on S4 subframes?
I just put a new subframe in my S4 from another of the same series, and the stupid upright bolts don't thread into the new frame. The female threads look great, and the bolts go back into the old frame.
It seems that they must have switched the threads at some point, has anyone else run into this? I think I'm just going to swap the studs if I can get them off the control arms, but what a pain.
