Spring Preload on Lowered Car

So I have 87 t2 with Tein Super Drift coilovers. Me being a dumb a$$, adjusted ride height by turning preload washers instead of the bottom one. So now I need to reset my preload to factory Tein settings or compensate for the car being lowered.

Basically my question is, should I put more or less preload if I lower my car, or should I just readjust it to tein factory setting? Also how do I get it back to factory setting? I couldn't find any specs for Tein SD preload spring height. After searching, I saw some people just turn the washer until spring barely spins and call it good.

Im a complete noob at this. Vehicle is going to be used for street driving, no track or drags.

just tighten the spring enough til it barely spins. i think most manufacturers do that or add preload equal to the width of the coilover spanner wrench

No need to preload the spring.

Force=spring rate x distance compressed.
Correct me if I'm wrong but read it somewhere that if you preload the spring, you'll have to overcome the force of it preloaded before any suspension travel would happen. So say 400 lb of force to begin moving it then 300lb/inch. Just makes hitting bumps more harsh
