Question spoiler and poping noise

i have a t2 spoiler from an 88 and the corner plastic clips are missing and mazda says the part is discontinued. can i install without the clips and all the other bolts will keep it secure?
2nd question...
on deceleration im always getting a lot of backfire only on high rpm if i were like to race a person and let go of the accelerator and leave it in gear then it pops to like a certain rpm i never thought n e thing of it b/c its a rotary it shoots flames for god sakes

Use the search for your popping sound.....

Could be your TPS is going out or needs adjustment.

TPS IS PERFECT idle is eratic but other than that the tps is set perfectly but what about my spoiler.... im also running rich as a bitch

you know i just got that **** today too..... ******* i have nothign emmison/vacum line wise so that probally helps but i dunno what to do its pissing me off cause its popping flames every second like pop pop pop pop on the down rev......its annoying

when i took the airpump off i was always wondering what else i could take off the car vacuum line wise but no one nor no search ever told me.... can someone tell me where and what i can take off? well the spoiler thing was left in the air.... im puzzled by that so can someone answer if i can put it on securely without those side clips? thanks guys \

I installed my spoiler(same situation) and haven't had any problems. I looks great although the car does not run. I wouldn't worry about it!

Yeah it's secure. I used the two side bolts, and the two in the back part. Secure as it gets!
