split air pipe location

hi,
can anyone snap a pic of where the split check valve connects to in an s4 n/a?
The previous owner took it out so now i cant pass smog!
I found diagrams by searching but a pic would help much better.
Thanks!

Sorry, don't have a pic, but the first question that pops in my head is: Why the heck would anybody take the check valve out? There's no reason to...

Now, there are two check valves that you may be talking about- one is right at the end of the small (3/8")metal tube that runs up to the right side aft area of the engine, and meets the rubber hose that goes into the back of the engine, and the other is under the Air Control Valve (you have to remove the ACV to access it). IIRC, if that one's missing you'll run like crap, so we'll assume it's the one at the back of the engine. Your problem is, that one's not gonna have much to do with you passing smog, it's just there to keep exhaust gases from making their way back to the ACV. Hope that helped, but it probably just confused ya more, huh?
