Where does the BAC get its air supply?
Where does the BAC get its air supply? I have all my emmissions stuff removed as well as the BAC. With any kind of electrical load (lights, brake lights, stereo(kinda big)) it dies at idle. I'm running a Microtech LT-8 so i'm not too excited about sending the ecu back to australia to have it programmed to operate the BAC but if it keeps the damn thing running at night it will definatly be worth it. Anyways, the question i'm needing answered is where does the bac get air from? Am i going to end up with another breather filter? I'm working on beefing up the electrical system in the mean time, (caps, either fd alternator or rewound high output rebuild, and possibly a second battery).
Does anybody know what kind of turn around time there is for having Microtechs reprogrammed? What does it cost?

The origonal supply tap was in the plastic pipe between the compressor & the TMIC.
The sureshot crude but effective & cheap option:
You could rig an old AWS solenoid with a bleed valve, on a manual toggle switch.

Well that makes more sense. The stock pipe your refering to is actually cast aluminum. I have the blitz bov "kit" and it does have a capped off pipe that could supply the bac i suppose. Anybody else want to confirm? Thanks.

Well to answer your question about the inlet location...it gets air from the short metal pipe where the stock BOV is attached. If you removed and blocked off the BAC, you should have capped off that hole as it would be a huge vac leak.
