hey guys i dont really know how the speedometer works and everything. i got a 86 GXL and the previous owner put in a TurboII tranny. he removed the speedometer cable. I bought a new one and im not sure if the reading on the NA which reads up to 150 on the Gauge will be reading correctly. im not even sure i have the speedometer gear on the tranny right now but heres my plan.

i have a speedometer cable right now. when i put that in im not sure if the readings are correct. if they arent right i was thinking of buying a Indiglo Gauge for the model of which my turboII tranny is from so the numbers match up. Can i do this? is there some other way i can do something about this. like... buy a different speedometer gear? or something.

 

Well , I am running an S5 turbo trans in my s4 vert, and my speedo works just fine. Verified with cop radar sign, and friend pacing me calling out speeds on his cell.
