speedometer cable removal
I want to take my speedometer cable out of my transmission but it dosen't come out .... I've revomed the 2 bolts that holds it on the trany but when I pull it, it dosen't comes out. Any special way to do it ? Thanks ! (90 TII)
2 bolts? my 87 sport has one big nut around it you just have to un-screw...
and then u just disconnect it from the back of the gauge cluster.
yea- maybe t2's are different. they're weird!

i helped slpin take his tranny out, its a t2, the speedo cable is just attatched with a screw, a bolt and some wiggling. it should be that easy, unless you are unskrewing the wrong thing?

Yea don't pull the drive gear out. Sometimes I had to use some locking pliers and grip the big screw off on the cable, then pull it out, unless its stuck. THen get a screwdriver. The one on the back of the cluster is alittle bit difficult considering you need some lady hands.
