Well.

The cable goes from the back of the speedo, into the side of the transmission.

Id suggest you download the factory service manual, available at www.fc3s.org

I just skimmed through it, but couldnt find the section replacing the cable is in. But it is in there! Everything is!

sure,

Time:10min
part :speedo cable $20.77(w/wv tax) form advanced auto parts.
Tools: philps screwdriver.

Dont for get to jack up you car to get access to trany.

1.Unscrew the guage frame (2 screws on bottem one on each side under wipers/headlights, 3 in the top of the guage area.)

2. remove and unplug wires to wipers/headlights etc (4 pull plugs)

3. remove 2?(mine only had 2 I think there are 4) screws on clear guage (you'll see them.)

4. take out guage cluster and unplug the 2 big plugs there is a clip that hold them on in the center of each plug. then unplug (or if it was like mine it was unpluged) the speedo wire.

5.under the hood look for the area it comes out (drives side just behind the steering wheel.)

6. yank wire down words to the floor. let it lay on the floor.

7. fallow the wire to the tranny (I have the 5 speed.) and unscrew the wire. option- throw the wire as far as you can I got 50feet!

8. feed the new wire throw hole to guage area. then loop it down and screw it in to the tranny.

9. reinstall guage cluster and frame in revise order.

10. make sure your wire does not hang down I losely zip tied it to the AC pipe (keep away from hot stuff!)

11.have fun.

hope that helps.
