spark plug color

just pulled my leading plugs the other day and they had some white stuff baked on the top of them.
is this normal
when I first bought the car it was wierd and wet almost like gas or oil
but I was running without a TPS at that time also
now they have white stuff caked on but not thick just kinda patchy

Check out a Haynes manual on the 86-91 FC's. There are pictures of all types of spark plugs and the way they look, along with a description of them. That sounds about right though.
