Spare tire holder for vert?

Just curious, has anyone ever seen or heard of a spare tire holder you can put on your vert trunk instead of having the spare in the behind your seats? Like some older lincolns and such had.

thx for any info you may have

well obviously I wouldn't want the spare itself sitting in plain view but with cover around, and if you think that is ugly still.....meh, to each his own, but I want the extra space getting it out of the back would give me without actually getting rid of it all together

You know, I wonder if you couldn't just put it in the trunk like is standard in a coup. No provision for tieing it down, but the wheel well IS in the Verts trunk.

Got me curious, so I'll try that in my Vert tonight.

i assume you're talking about that random ditch at the rear of the trunk? that works great for holding bottles of oil, coolant etc.

So you're going land-rover style with the spare tire on the vert eh? interesting...

The spare fits in the trunk, where the spare is on coupes. That's where mine is. As for a gangster wheel mount on the trunk, that's just straight up ridiculous.

You can also lay the spare flat in the trunk of the vert on the left side. The metal for the tie down straps needs to be bent a little bit if you want it like a coupe.
