Source for Turbo Brake Booster

Hello all,

I have been trying to find a place that sells remanufactured FC Turbo Brake Boosters, I have not been able to find any and it is becoming a daunting task. Mazda no longer has any, nor any auto-parts company including rock auto. I am totally restoring a car with all either new, or remanufactured parts. My current brake booster is leaking due to some pitting in the bore.

Anyone have any luck? local companies... etc?

Are you sure the current booster is "leaking due to some pitting in the bore"? Reason I ask is that actual booster failures are very rare, but I've seen lots of guys lose the one-way check valve that's supposed to be inside the booster hose, resulting in the same leaky booster symptoms. Especially if they've replaced the original stock hose with some generic hose.

or they miss a cracked line from the firewall to the engine, remember that the hose is constantly flexing and is 30 years old.

i found the same when i needed one for my 82, and the parts store offered to send it to be rebuilt, which i did, it was quite reasonable.

Yes I am sure because The line was new and I used a vacuum pump to check it on the car with no engine after there was leaking from the master cylinder.

Did they just rebuild it or remanufacture it? Remanufactured meaning making it like OEM spec again and replacing all soft parts? do you remember ball park what it cost you? I am getting 200 + shipping USD.

they rebuilt mine. it came black bead blasted, and it had an aftermarket boot on the inside end. i assume that all the soft parts were changed, but i don't really know. cost was about $80+tax, took about a week
