FSM has stereo wiring diagrams. Cut the factory plugs and use FSM to figure out which wire is which.....'er, reverse that order.......figure out which wire is which and then cut the plugs.

Cut and solder? Shame shame shame! *scolds*

If you are installing an aftermarket stereo, easiest thing to do is to get a wiring harness for the car, pick one up from crutchfield.com on the cheap. Solder THAT to the radio's wiring, and then plug that right into the factory plug in the car. Piece of cake, it's cheap, and you can install the factory radio back in it in the future if you need to.

Just do like I did. Run all new wires to your speakers and a new power wire and find the nearest chassis bolt for a ground. Simple, clean, easy, works for me!!

And I kinda had to do it. In a vert we have all those stupid little miniature amplifiers for each speaker and tthat made for too much interference with an aftermarket radio. I took all of them out.

You don't need to cut any wires and you don't need any stupid kit! All head units come with an unterminated harness that only needs to have male spade terminals climped or soldered onto the wires so they can be plugged straight into the factory stereo plugs.

The only trick is the antenna wire, which needs a relay, but it still just plugs in. Search for the info.

Make life easier for yourself and run new speaker wires. It's easier for a novice than trying to bypass the stock amps.
