Won't help nor hurt. You can also use the OEM plate with a street/strip disc.

are you certain of this? as i remember each different company seems to have a different size! I think you may want to get another opinion on this one!
I personally don't think you can... what type of street/strip pressure plate do you have?

as long as you tell the manufactureres what model of car you have it will be fine I have known many people to use the stock clutch with a RB heavy duty PP....

Also many people have recomened to me that the stock clutch disc is the the best for your buck, even a friend with an fd 3 rotor still uses the stock clutch with a HD PP.

That is very interesting, as i baught a brand new clutch OEM, and it slips like a SOB!!! under the power that my little 13bt puts out with the mods listed in sig!
Not calling you a lyar but just stating in my own personal experience the stock clutch is no good with my setup!

and my ACT pressure plate will not work with my OEM clutch, that is why I wanted you to make sure that you did know for sure.. But you would know if you bolted it on you could tell by simply looking at it after it was alinged!

did you break in you clutch properly? also if you did, di you resurface your flywheel while changing the clutch this will happen.

I have not changed my clutch since I have bought my car 2 years I autox 8-10 times a year and drag race 5-7 times a year have my stock clutch still does not slip

althought when i replaced my clutch on my 89 na with a nappa oem clutch it slipped just as you were saying, though i didn't resurface my flywheel either.

how do you know your clutch is slipping do you smell it?

I've used alot of clutch/pp combos and as long as the series and aspiration of the models were the same it worked. Maybe I've just been lucky and haven't used a bad combo

Like said before, just install it and you will know.

I think the break-in procedure of a full face disc has alot to do with slipping. That, and if you consider your parts store clutch OEM.

Lemon probably. Could be alot of other things too, but I would only use the ACT with your setup. You know it says 3' back to stock mufflers? Is that supposed to be 3"

actually it is reduced from 3" to the stock mufflers.
That is why there is a quick release at the Y where it is true straigh out 3". Also this is to keep the Fuzz away from me... I attract enough attention with my BOV!
but thanks for trying to point that out you aren't the first.

and for your information I am simply to lazy to change it from the ' to the ". :p
