Sound Clips of NA w/ Full Racing Beat Exhaust (w/ header)
I currently have the Racing Beat "down pipe," cat replacement pipe, presilencer, y-pipe, and catback on my NA. I like the sound as it is; however, I soon be installing a supercharger, and I'm afraid that the stock exhaust manifold will be choking the power.
As you may know, Racing Beat offers a collected "streetable" header as well as an uncollected "Road Race" header. I don't think I'll be getting the "Road Race" setup since I would have to replace almost all of my exhaust; however, the collected "streetable" header should bolt right up after removing the stock exhaust manifold and "down pipe."
I've searched for a long time, and cannot find any clips of this setup on anyone's car. Please post any sound clips you may have of a car with a full Racing Beat exhaust including a header (either "streetable" or "Road Race").
Thanks.

This is a sound clip of my car with true duals. Its an 89 GTU. Don't mind the blown exhaust gasket. Its supposed to be a tad quieter. But the clip gets the point accross.

I don't have any clips... but the head is an order of magnitude louder than the stock manifold....
Email the guys are racing beat to see what they think, but when i was talking with them about my 89 GTU, they didn't think that it was worth the noise unless you were going with a carb setup instead of the stock EFI.......
They may have a different opinion if you tell them you want to supercharge it later...
Don't worry about them trying to sell you stuff you don't need, they're straight up about that kind of ****.... if its not going to make much a difference between the header and the dp/pd you already have... they'll tell you right out.
They told me on a N/A. there was only about one HP difference with the header over the DP/PS and stock manifold.... May be a bigger difference when adding a supercharger even though you are still using EFI...
BUT also remember, a little back pressure will help keep some torque in the low-mid rpm band...
IMO..... its not worth the noise.....

I only have clips of when I had a Racing Beat header, presilencer, and an HKS Sport Catback. Sounds almost identical to a full collected Racing Beat exhaust. Let me know if you want me to post the video.

If you have 1000hp for 1rpm it does you no good. But if you have 500hp for 4krpm guess who will be faster?

wish i had a good mic. i have a 91 streetported n/a, no aux sleeves, road race (uncollected) header, custom pipe (2>1) with cat, Y exhaust (fairly stock looking). it has a good tone. i wish i could hear it from outside the car besides at idle.

I went ahead and made 2 videos of my exhaust to help others. As a reminder, I have a Racing Beat Downpipe, Presilencer & Catback. I really like the sound, but I am concerned about the restriction of the stock exhaust manifold with my supercharger. For an NA setup, you won't find a better compromise of sound and performance, IMO.

you could always fab a straight flow muffler, like a borla and added to the mufflers you have it should be quite enough to stand without loosing the advantages of the header. someone did that setup and said it sounded great.

I actually took this video clip the day before I started the installation.

Do you still have the stock flywheel? It looks like that video is after the supercharger install (boost gauge).

No, that was the wrong link. That's the car with an uncollected exhaust with racing beat mufflers and a lightweight flywheel AFTER supercharging. Here's the car before the supercharger work with the old exhaust:
