someone familar with the headlight harness - found something interesting.

so today... pending gloomy weather... i decided to beef up my headlight harness per the link provided... now after removing the stock heat-shrink tubing around the harness i found this...





is this normal?

this is whats under the tape.

Could it have something to do with the JDM FTP lights. I know they have a small light in them. I bet it is in one of the wiring diagrams, but I don't have them with me at the track.

no JDM FTP lights in this car... unless... perhaps that this harness that was in my car was replaced at one point with this one... ???

Understood... what I meant was when they build em in Hiroshima they don't make each and every part a JDM or USM part. Many items within the vehicle are mass produced and then modified or altered to fit the specific application. A wiring harness would be such a part that might fall under this type of assembly I think.

Looks stock RX to me. You have a blue connector on one end and two other connectors on the other end of the harness.

In the jpgs you attached the blue plug is most likely to the left of the pictuire. So you have a black/red coming out of the blue plug and it's spliced to two other black/red wires, each of which go to the other two plugs. Like one BR going to one plug and the other BR going to the other plug.

The splices you see in that harness are numerous in the EM harness on the engine. As in all over the place in the EM harness.
