somebody please HELP me trouble shoot my 87 rx-7!

I've had this problem for 4 years...any time I drive my rx-7 10 to 15 miles...and stop at a store or resturant...my car starts to act up.
I fire up my car...and it starts to bogg...I shut down my car and restart a 4 or 5 times and its back to normal.
the car reeves up to 2000...and boggs...WHY?
use to happen when the temp was over 90 degrees in Los Angeles.
today its 70 degrees in LA, and my car started acting up.
my car has over 144,000 miles & its stock, just has a hks filter.
oh and when ever i take it to the mechanic it doesnt act up...lol

someone please help trouble shoot my car, I know there are a lot of rx-7 experts here!

thx jordy

Check to see if your TPS is still moving freely.

A friend here in town was having a similar issue with his car and it turned out his tps was just stuck. HAd to buy a new one.

WD40 your throttle cams. Check for anything blocking them that could lock them open or shut. Make sure your thermo pellet isn't acting up or getting jammed. Buy a "new" known good tps off a forum member for cheap and install it. Check for vacuum leaks by spraying a little starting fluid here and there around the engine. If the engine bogs that's your leak.

Mazdatrix lists a new one at 225 bucks. You can pick up a used one for probably 40-50

well mine dose that as well but im not running a tps as the tps makes the car run funny cant hit boost past 5k rpm, and cant hold steady speed, to i run it un plugged, i have mine worked out to a bad maf. as if i rev it up and drop the throttle fast it will do that. its a pain in the ***, im going to fix this prob by installing a megasquart!! hope this helps (i found the prob cause when it was acting up i unplug the maf and the car would idle at 2k but keep runnign plug it in and she stops)

You really shouldnt unplug either one of those. I'm assuming your car is n/a, right? Then theres probably no good reason for a megasquirt.

When I say used I dont mean rebuilt. I mean one thats old as ****, but is still in working spec.

Theres like 3854 FC owners in the LA area I'm sure, nobody can help you?
